Nissel by Elisabeth Thoma

“Nissel” is derived from the word nettle from the Italian word Ortica, which means stinging nettle. There are two cuts, powerful and efficient! Loud but elegant, pointed and yet so cuddly - an elegant and delicate but eye-catching typeface in the style of “Apoc” by Matthieu Salvaggio and “Serif Babe” by Charlotte Rohde. The font “Ortica” is the starting point; a free font designed by Benedetta Bovani. With this one I wanted to create an already good base. During the process, I concentrated mainly on the serifs and sharpened them. Nissel is a serif font and is perfect for headlines, but also body text.
